Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is officially launching his campaign for president (wow what a surprise). DeSantis is trying to claim the MAGA mantle without the MAGA baggage, but he also had close ties with the shady criminals of Trump’s world. DeSantis tried to hide how in debt his 2018 campaign was to convicted fraudster Lev Parnas — until Florida reporters went digging. Especially given DeSantis’ recent pro-Putin gaffe calling the war in Ukraine a “territorial dispute,” national media needs to be asking him as he runs for President: What did Parnas think he was buying with ALL that 2018 financial assistance?
