For the third time this year, former President Donald Trump has been criminally indicted, and House Republicans have shamelessly heeled to his side. Following the announcement of his indictment, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer all publicly defended Trump with Jordan going as far as to say, “Trump did nothing wrong!” This brazen assault to the truth is on par with Trump’s own behavior as cited in the indictment. Trump now faces 78 felony charges and counting, Fulton County could potentially be indicting Trump as soon as this month.
Meanwhile, Comer’s investigation has yet to turn up any credible evidence of wrongdoing from President Biden. Comer has resorted to using debunked theories from 2019 to fill airtime. He’s even admitted he doesn’t have any evidence of foreign payments going to President Biden, despite promising that his investigation would conjure criminal charges proving as much. House Republicans biggest fight continues to be with the pesky truth, it would be sad if it wasn’t costing Americans million in taxpayer funds.
