In the 100 days since Rep. James Comer and Senator Chuck Grassley started spreading unsubstantiated bribery allegations about President Biden the only thing Comer has provided proof for is his ability to embarrass himself. Comer now seems to be lying about participating in his committee’s interview with Devon Archer, Comer’s much-hyped witness. Comer claims that he was “on the phone” for the interview, but his office previously told reporters that he had prior commitments and that’s why he wasn’t there. One senior GOP source said there was “no way” Comer called into the interview and Comer should “just take the loss and move on.” Embarrassing himself is Comer’s preferred MO though. When confronted with the facts that his star witness debunked his own conspiracy theories and that he had failed, yet again, to present any evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden, Comer resorted to personal attacks.
